Last night I watched the SNL Sarah Palin videos with Tina Fey. They were excellent. I strongly suggest checking them out. Or maybe we can all watch them together tonight. Also, check out Jibjab.com, there's two really good videos on is "It's time for some campaigning", and the other is called "This Land" They are both hilarious. Especially this land. Then there's this thing call Palin mania or sarah mania or something like that, and it's a clip of all of her famous embarrassments all rolled into one five minute video, and it's both funny and scary and altogether I feel, very uncomfortable to watch, just cause she's so humiliating, I almost feel sorry for her. But mostly I just think I'm afraid to think that it's possible that she might be president of the US, but to be fair, if Bush can do it, anyone can. Just that we know what happens now when a complete moron takes office and we're not really feeling up to it.
Anyway, I can't wait to see you all tonight. Mitch is picking me up since he's coming home anyway. And we're going to stop for pizza and then come home, so we won't be there till pretty late. Hope you're enjoying your time off mom. Don't worry about your room. Tell Max I'll see him tonight.
Love ya'll

hi
Hola mi hijas! One more day to family reunion time. When will Brea be home? I miss her. Now that they are always working on their house, she doesnt't come around. I will call her today, though.
I also love the Palin videos. I cracked up laughing. I must have watched it at least 10 times, and spent at least an hour checking out the others. Mac and I found a few catchy bumper stickers too. I keep forgeting what my favorite line is from the song, so I'll have to listen to it yet again.
I gotta clean up my room so it looks presentable before you, Shayla, get here late tonight. So, see you soon.

I love the Sarah Palin song you sent me. It cracked me up the part that goes "I'm so f-in scared of you, you know it's true. Oh if you become V.P. Oh it's Canada for me." My friend Carol and I laughed out loud in the middle of the coffee shop! It's great. I watched a bunch of other you tube Sarah Palin videos, including some of the vp debates. And OH MY GOD Sarah Palin said Nucular! over and over and over again, that's what she called it. Nucular Nucular Nucular. Like that Simpsons skit when Lisa goes, yeah my dad works in a nuclear power plant and Homer interrupts and goes "It's Nucular Lisa, NUCULAR." Only Sarah wants to be VP, not just some dumbass working in a plant. So it's a lot less funny when you really think about it. She's a threat to our lives for sure. Especially when you take into consideration high the death rate for men between 72 and 76 is. Most stressful job on the planet aside, it's still like a one in three chance he won't make it. I think his VP is about the best thing that could have happened to us Obama fans in this election. She's such a moron! And that Joe Biden is a stud for sure. I love Obama, but I really love the combination of Obama Biden! I think it's just what the doctor ordered. And I too can't wait to cast my vote. Funny that this is the first election for both of us.
I think it's really cool that you're working online. That's awesome. And I really can't wait to see you tomorrow. Will you be up late? Because I'll be coming in pretty late I think. Probably like 2am. Otherwise I will see you the next day. Would you like to go to bingo on the 21st. It's a Tuesday. And if you need any help with money for the Breezy trip or bingo if you can go, just let me know. Can't wait to see you. And Mom and Max and Mitch and Brea and Dad. But especially Max. No offense. You know how special he is. :)
Tomorrow then!
Love you

Polls
I know, I was checking out the Presidential polls the other day and noticed Obama's lead. I can't say I'm surprised - Sarah Palin is a terrifying lady, and I'm not exaggerating. She scares me. Shayla, did you check out the video I sent you? At any rate, come November 4th I'll be running off to cast my vote, no dragging required.
I can't wait until you get home! :) :) :) :) But, I do need to get back to work. I'll update more later, or just tell you about it when you get home!

Obama
Guess what guys! I was just checking out msnbc, and Obama is projected to win pretty easily. He's got all the west coast, all the great lakes states, all of new england, plus new mexico and Colorado. The only scary things are Florida, Ohio and Virginia, but as long as we get one of those we're golden. It said that if the election took place right now, Obama would take 320 electoral votes and all you need is 270 to win. I think it's a lot because Sarah Palin is such a Moron! because McCaine was doing alright until she came along. But either way, I think it's fabulous. And I would be really damn surprised with we lost this.
This is good news for people my age, (mac and mitch) because we haven't exactly seen good stuff happen politically in our adult lives like at all. But anyway, I hope you all know that I am dragging you to the poles on Nov 4th. And Hooray!

Hello mi hijas!
Just a note to say hi. Less than two weeks til Montana! I am looking forward to it so much, Shayla. I imagine you and Jesse are as well :) I'm not sure what kind of a hiker I will be this year. I am so out of shape! But I'll try a little one, I'm sure. I want to give you two lots of time alone anyway so I will duck out of most of your hiking trips.
I'm getting more and more junk out of the house, but as I do, I see how getting it all over here is an impossibility. I hope the sale this weekend goes well, but no doubt, it will not all sell. So, I will have to deal with that the next week, before heading out on the trip.
Brea is going to be home for Grandma's party. I miss her too. She is not able to get back here that often working so far away. But, I should see her Sunday, if not earlier. I like that you girls call me. Sorry that sometimes I am occupied, but I do appreciate you both keeping in touch!
Well, gotta get to work. I love you.

Mackie Says-
Hooray! It's basically perfect that you are coming in on Thursday, because Friday is senior skip day. So we can hang out all night.
Yeah, it's a really good feeling to be done with my last AP test, and essentially done with my last AP class. We watched the Office in class today, and we are doing the same tomorrow. So I'm pretty sure we're done doing anything especially productive. Which means that I only have my mainstream classes left, and those are obviously not much of a challenge. On that note, I have eight days of school left. Only eight days until I get to say goodbye to hell. I am so excited. It's insane. By the way, do you want to come to my graduation ceremony? You certainly don't have to, but let me know if you want to because then I can save you a ticket.
In other news, we're working on another play. Did I tell you about that? You'll be around for the performances, so you should come. Support our independent theatrical production. :)
Anyway, did I mention that I'm excited to see you? :) Max is excited, too. He knows. I told him. And he told me to tell you that he can't wait to see you. I suppose, though. I should get going. I'll talk to you later.

Wow Mac, way to go with the a.p. business. Must feel good to have one of those behind you. I'm glad the kittens are adorable. I can't wait to see them. I should be home late next thursday night. Jesse and I are driving. So we're leaving in the morning on Wednesday the 21st and its a 20 hr drive, but we're gonna sleep at a hotel in between. So I expect we'll be rolling in between 8 and 11pm. It's gonna be great!
Hope you have a great week at school. Wow, and then you only have like a week and a half left! That's crazy. No more BHS! in just two weeks. That's gotta feel pretty good! Good luck with the rest of your finals.
Love ya,
Shayla

Mackie Says-
I like the idea of one big super-party rather than two separate ones. I prefer integration of the Weigel and Paradeis clans. And plus, I would rather not be paraded around twice this summer. I am sure that one day of being interrogated and congratulated will be enough.
Shayla, I can't wait for you to be home! And the kittens are absolutely adorable, you will love them. What time are you getting in? And where?
In other news, I took my AP Lang test this morning. I never knew I had it in me to write two four page essays and a three page essay in two hours, but I did it. For the first time in my life, I feel much more confident about the essays than I do about the multiple choice, which is nuts. I mean, sure, I'm a good writer. But writing an essay in such a short span of time usually does not go over so well. On our practice AP tests, my multiple choice scores have been consistently excellent, and my essays have been competent but not extraordinary. But I feel really good about the essays, which is especially weird considering that on the rhetorical analysis essay, I didn't really know what I was talking about. It was funny, I understood the passage perfectly. It was an essay regarding the true nature of scientific research, which all made perfect sense to me. But as far as my rhetorical analysis goes, for quite some time I wasn't even sure what point I was trying to make. Good news is that I think I still managed to make it. The synthesis essay was in regards to the merits of the penny and whether or not it is a necessary form of currency or if it is worthless. That one I felt really good about, which is also unusual. The synthesis is almost always my worst essay. And the argumentative essay was about whether or not corporate advertising in schools is necessary. So that was a fairly accessible topic. Not the best, but not bad.
So yeah, that's way more information regarding my AP test than either of you could ever need, but it's basically all I have to say. After the test I went to the E and got lunch before I went back to school for fifth hour, and all we did in that class was watch a movie. And my last hour of the day is AP Lang, and we had the time to do whatever we wanted. We definitely deserved it. And what do twenty high-flying students do when given free time? Homework, you say? More like play twenty questions and laugh so hard that Hewitt told us we could have fun, but we couldn't act like a circus. It was fun. One of the laziest days of the year as far as class goes, but since I only went to two classes, I guess that's to be expected.
So tonight I am continuing my period of relaxation and taking it easy. I am determined to not do anything that requires careful thought because to be honest, my mind has been floating around in a happy place since the test finished. And I honestly don't think I could bring it back or make it focus, even if for some strange reason, I wanted to. But I don't, so I'm enjoying my absence of responsibility and thought for tonight. Tomorrow it's back to work with me.
At any rate, happy almost end of the school year!

Awesome Mom, thanks for letting me know that my check came. It's like 1060 or something isn't it? Good luck with writing up all the invites. I can't wait for the party!
And I can't wait to see the kitties.
I think it would be awesome if Dad's side of the family came over again. That was nice last time I thought. Not that two parties wouldn't be cool.
See you guys in 9 days!

Shay, just wanted you to know that your federal check arrived today. I will get it into your account asap. Mac and I are in the process of getting graduation party invites written out. I am missing so many addresses! But I am working on finding them. I think those who visit the Weigel blog will be invited online in lieu of via snail mail, as we are a little short on invitations.
The kittens are awesome. They will be at the perfect age when you get here.
Mac, you want to see if your dad wants to have a party for you, or if we should invite the Paradeises to our party here? I could give him a call too if you don't want to.
We are almost done with school. Yeehah! Isn't it exciting?

graudation!!!
Yeah, I'm pretty damn excited for you. I can't really imagine a better thing to ever happen to me then being done with BHS! That was a good good day. I'm so excited for your grad party. I'm just glad that I get to be there. Mine was really nice. Send out invites to everyone you can remember liking you. And then you'll be like yeah I'll probably get like most of the Weigels and a few friends, and people will show up that you haven't seen in forever and surprise the hell out of you. It feels awesome. Also, I would suggest inviting all of the Paradeis's instead of having dad throw a seperate party. It's always nice to see the Weigels' and Paradeis's reuniting. I think they all really miss mom.
Hope the weather is good! This must mean that Logan is graduating too this year huh? Wonder when that will happen.
What are you up to this summer? Anything cool? I'm glad that you read the hunt sisters book. It's a good one isn't it. Hang in there for the busy days, it can't be too hard when you know the end is very near. Man that's a great feeling. It's like the ultimate spring of your life.
It's totally cool that you all hung out last night. I'm jealous.
Well, I'm out of things to say for now. But that never lasts long. So I'll talk to ya'll later.
Love ya,
shayla

Ello, Lovelies...
We did set a date for my grad party. I mentioned it on the Weigel Blog, but it's going to be Saturday, June 7th. So you can come. Hooray!
I really liked the Hunt Sisters book, but unfortunately that is the only one of your books that I've gotten to so far. When I have more time, I will try to get to the other ones. But that might be a while.
I'm super excited for to be home, though. I'm also really excited about graduating. Time can never go fast enough, can it?
Let's see, what else is new? Not a whole lot, I guess. The spring show went really well, all things considered. I'm excited to jump into my next theatrical project. Things are hectic now but they'll be wrapping up soon enough. I don't know what else to say.
Life is good. Crazy, busy, hectic... but good.

Ok mom, you're not a dead beat. Just Mitch and Brea. I really have to get Brea a Birthday gift, I'll probably do that today or tomorrow.
How are the kittens? I hope your taking pictures. I'm trying to come home on the 21st just so that I can have an extra week to hang out with the kitties. But I'm torn because Brea's going to be in D.C. a week later, so if I stick it out for another week I would get to see her there. But I don't know about that, I just can't wait to get out of here.
What did you think of the books Mac? And have you finished any mom?
I really can't wait to be home again, especially since when I come it will be summer time! Which is awesome. Then we all can do yoga in the front yard. And what are we doing for Mac's grad party? Spose we should get going with the planing. I think you should have it in the beginning of summer. Then I can come. :)
Well, Hope to hear from you all soon.
Love you all,
Shayla

Well....
I'm just saying. Look through the post authors, and you'll see what I mean.
Well, with the spring show over I guess I should start having some time again. Then again, as the last month of my school year charges along, I imagine that life will be pretty crazy again.

Meanies
I can't help it. I don't have a computer that works most of the time. Did you see the blogs I posted on the other one? You two have a few gaps too. Okay, I'm not really upset about it. I am glad that I finally got the computer working though. It sucks not having the internet available.
So, what have you two read lately of note? I just read Jemmy (again) by Jon Hassler. Shayla I started the long name one from the kids point of view, but Mac had already read the Hunter Sisters? and was ready to read the one I had started.
Like Mackie, I am bogged down with work right now, being the end of the year. Can't wait for it to get here, then almost wish I could stretch it out for another week or two. It's always like that. There's just so much to do. Time flies though and it is kind of exciting.
Mac, what do you want to do for a grad party? Gonna talk to Dad? You can sure have it here if you want. What do you want for a grad gift?
Shay, when are you going to be home next? I love it when you are all home. Soon, home will move to a different location. Kinda wierd, but good too. Change is good.
Well, I've officially blogged. No longer a deadbeat. :) Just kiddin. Love you guys. -The Mom

Afterthought
Should I change the name of this place to Shayla and Mackenzie's place to chat? That would be much more realistic. And maybe it would make the others come here more often. I mean, seriously. If you look through the post authors, it goes me, you, me, you, random appearance of sibling/mother, me, you, me, you, me, you......
Migrating Creativity
Easter= Zombie Jesus Day. Think about it.
Life has been busy. The clock is ticking away at high school and it's amazing that I only have two months to go. After so many years, it's weird to think that it's almost over. I've been pretty busy just trying to make ends meet with it, trying to keep everything in line and in order. It's pretty crazy, how many things there are to think about, to do, right now. There are so many questions that need to be answered, so many things that need to be set up. Life is hectic, I guess. What else is new?
So school's crazy. The end of the year always seems to get that way. With the spring show on top of it all I wonder how I find any free time. I've wondered whether I've taken on too much with this show, but I don't think so. At any rate, it's my last BHS show and I wouldn't want to do anything less than everything I can do. Which means I'm stage managing, and doing the lighting and sound design, along with building. So basically I'm the supertechie for this one. It seems insane but I really like having a hand in basically everything. It's nice to be able to stage manage the way it's supposed to be, rather than having the title but not the responsibilities like the last time. So that's adding quite a bit to my lack of free time.
I don't know. Life is good. Not too much is happening here. Spring is finally here which is an excellent change. It's nice to be able to feel the warmth. I'm just getting over being sick and it's nice to feel relatively healthy again. I've been writing fairly often recently which is awesome, it seems like my creativity migrates to a warmer climate during the winter, I never seem to get much done when I'm frozen. But when it gets warm, I seem to get creative again, another reason to hate winter I suppose.
So I suppose that's about all for me tonight. I'm excited to hang out with you when you get back. Sorry I haven't called you back. Seems like every time I remember that I need to, it's already really late. And since I know we'd probably talk for a long time, it seems advisable to call before midnight. Tomorrow I have drama until 6 or later, but I'll try to give you a call when I'm done. If I'm done at a decent hour, that is.

Zombie Jesus Day?
I'm kinda big on blogging, I just hate to be the only guy doing it. But hey, I'm coming home on wednesday night. What's your life like right now mackie?

2 More Days
Hey guys~
Nice to see you on here Mom, now there are only two dead-beats in this blog:) Just kidding. I can't wait to come home on Wednesday. I still have to figure out who's picking me up in Brainerd, I'm hoping Hannah can do it.
Good luck tomorrow Mom. I hope it's the first harmless Monday to break the streak. I'm sure it will be, the set of three's seems to ring true. How late do you have speech on Thursday and Friday? Cause I was hoping to ride in with you and stay with Gramma while your at school. I'm glad that you all went together to the funeral. I'm not any good at deal or no deal either. And I'm also really glad that you and Brea went to watch Mac. Wish I could have been there. I'd love to come in to school with you and meet your friend. She sounds really cool.
I want to try a couple of experiments while I'm home. Would you please give the kitties some milk on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. I heard somewhere that the enzymes in milk help cats stay cleaner by killing more bacteria when they lick themselves. I got really sick last time I was home, I'm not sure if it was the smoking or the cats. But I do know that I am allergic to both. So I'll just try to keep away from the smoking. I can't wait to see Max. I don't care how much he makes me sneeze. It's worth it.
Can't wait to see everyone,
Shayla

hola mi hijas y hijo
Hello!
I didn't think you guys actually used this anymore, which is why I haven't read it in a long time. But now that I know you do, I will check it more often. We're all excited for next week when Shay will be home. I just talked to Brea today for quite awhile on the phone. Didn't get home til almost midnight last night from the funeral. It was nice seeing all the rellies. Mom, Tammy, Lu and I rode together. We played Deal or No Deal tournaments on the drive. I suck at that game. I got a 1000 when we were trying for high game and 100,000 when we were going for low. Go figure.
I've just developed a superstition about Mondays. The last three mondays have sucked with first, Mom's heart attack, then the paramedics out the next, then the third being my dad's death anniversary and my cousin dying. The year has not started out all that well, huh?
I have one more week of speech left with a tournament on Thursday and our end of the season party on Friday. I love doing it, but am glad when I get to come home at the end of the work day.
Shay, maybe when you are here, you could come into school with me to meet Mary Dennis. I mentioned it to her and she thought it was a great idea. You'll love her. I think she said she is staying with friends on 10th street? I have no idea if that is anywhere in your neighborhood or not.
Anyway, did you all hear that Mackie got 2nd place at Sections? Awesome! Brea and I went to watch the contest. We had a good time, I think.
Well, I gotta run. Now you can't say I suck at this anymore:) Love you all. -The Mom
p.s. I'll talk to you about Jesse when you are home, Shayla. Remember, I like you a lot!

Sweet!
Congrats on your one act success! That's awesome. Maybe you should be IN the shows more often. Something to think about in college. Speaking of, how's Columbia looking. Are you going to apply next year, or did you already. If you're worried about money, don't be. College loans and financial aid always come through for folks like you and I. Too bad you can't just waitress at the Diner, put away a pretty 10 grand or so in the next year. Colllege is so awesome too. I wish I was going to college:( Maybe you and I should take a stroll down to Chicago sometime, we could visit my friend Tammie, stay for free and check out the college scene. But let's wait till it's not cold anymore.
Jesse and I are fine. He's just distracted I think, not sure who he is or what he feels sometimes. I think spending the summer apart will do us a lot of good. Help sort of realize how lucky he is to have me and stuff. Since absense makes the heart grow fonder and all of that crap.
P.S. What the hell is up with Mom and Mitch and Brea sucking so bad at this game? It's not like they're never on the computer.

Life is good. We had the sub-sections for one act today and we got second, so we advance to sections next week. We actually got ranked 1st,1st, and 5th by the judges, so two out of the three thought that we were the best, and the third (for whatever reason) thought we were the worst. Why? I dont know. But it went really well and we're all really excited for another week and another performance. That's two years in a row that we've advanced to sections. Which is really impressive considering that before this, Brainerd hasn't even placed in more than a decade. Which shows you how amazing Albrecht is. So yeah, it's awesome. And since I'm acting, it's all the better. The judge who gave us our critique singled me out and said that I gave her chills, in a good way. It was great. I felt pretty damn good at that moment. Especially considering that I felt like acting in the one act wasn't really my place since I'm really more of a techie and I haven't acted in a year and a half. So that made my day and all is going pretty well in my world. Sorry to hear about Jesse. That sucks. I hope it works out in the end, however it goes.
Have a great night/day!

yup
Life is good. I recently discovered that Jesse doesn't really like me anymore. So that's been weighing on me a lot. I've been pretty sad. I don't know if we're going to break up or what, but he got drunk and sort of blurted out that he was really unhappy, so that was quite a blow. We haven't really talked about it yet, because the next day was my birthday and I didn't want to talk about it that day. And all the other days, I just don't wanna bring it up. I don't feel like being a wreck right now. I'm already sad cause I miss home and I want to see Grandma. But I talked to her today and I feel better.
How about you?
How about you?
Well...
That wouldn't surprise me. The rest of the siblings/family kind of suck at this game.
But hey, at least it's not just me anymore.
How's life?
What's new?
